Rowena Short is a former registrar at Sarasota High School. [1]

Career

She had been five months into a six-month probationary period with Sarasota High School when she was fired in January 2018.

In the Media

Short was fired and an assistant principal, Bethany King, was reassigned after a Snapchat video surfaced that showed a high school student drinking at a party with the registrar at King’s home on January 14, 2018.

The video showed Short standing above the student on a kitchen counter-top.

She then bumped the male student in the head with her butt. The caption on the video read “My girl”. [1]

The incident raised questions whether or not Short had a relationship with the student.
