Kudva graduated from Cotton College affiliated to Gauhati University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics, Economics and Mathematics in 1983. She completed her post-graduation Diploma in Managment from IIM-A, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1986. She was honored by IIM-A with the 'Distinguished Alumnus Award'. ^[2]
