Ronna Romney McDaniel is chair of the Michigan Republican Party. She has worked on her uncle Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.
In November 2016, Breitbart News reported that she is being considered for the Republican National Committee Chair position opened up by the appointment of Reince Priebus as Donald Trump's chief of staff.
Background
Her mom, Ronna Romney, hosted a radio show, was a 2-time U.S. Senate candidate from Michigan, and was married to Mitt Romney's brother before they divorced. Her father, G. Scott Romney is a lawyer. He ran unsuccessfully for Michigan State Attorney General.
Education
Ronna Romney McDaniel is the third of five children.
She went to school at Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and then Brigham Young University.
She helped her uncle Mitt Romney with his 2012 campaign for President of the United States. She succeeded Bobby Schostak as chair of the Michigan Republican Party in 2015. She was a delegate for Donald Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
Personal Life
Ronna Romney is married to Patrick "Pat" McDaniel who is president of insurance company Hylant Group’s Detroit office.
They have two children: Abigail and Nash (11 and 13 as of 2016).
