Romy Reiner was born on December 27, 1997 to Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer.
Her parents met on the set of When Harry Met Sally..., Michelle was a photographer and was introduced to Rob by a friend.
In 2012 Romy had a short essay published on HelloGiggles called "High School Through the Eyes of a Teenage Girl" where she writes about feeling alienated in high school. However, she also encourages others who've had the same experience to overcome those feelings using examples lifted from her life. She reveals that she loves playing volleyball, focusing on creative outlets, helping others and spending time with her family with whom she is very close.
Romy often uses her Twitter account to tweet about social justice issues and clearly hates Donald Trump with a passion. She has her own website showcasing photographs, paintings, drawings, and political cartoons.
On June 30, 2020, Reiner's grandfather, Carl Reiner, passed away. On the same day, Romy shared an important detail about her grandfather and his political views. She posted a throwback photo on Twitter of her grandfather from 2014 along with a message about the upcoming presidential election. In her tweet, she mentioned that her late grandfather wanted to vote out President Donald Trump in the 2020 general election.[13]
Romy previously posted a photo of herself and her grandfather to mark his passing.
In subsequent tweets, she noted that she first heard about Reiner's death via a notification from TMZ, which initially reported the news. She wrote:
"Very weird to hear about my grandfathers passing from a TMZ report.
Needless to say he was an inspiration, and encouraged me to keep writing.
I hope to continue his legacy if at all possible."
Romy clarified the situation in another tweet, writing that she did receive messages from those closest to her about Reiner's passing, but that TMZ's notification was the first one she saw when she woke up.[13]
Career
In 2013 Romy was selected for a modeling campaign with Claire's and was interviewed by Teen Vogue. In the interview she reveals that she had participated in a few modeling gigs over the summer, but wanted to focus on finishing her academic studies before pursuing modeling full-time.
In 2019 she got a start on her acting career in Nathaniel Nuon's thriller, Voices.
