On March 16, 2017, Rodney live streamed his shooting death by Crockett County Sheriffs Department police in Alamo, Tennessee on his personal Facebook profile. [1]

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Rodney was acting erratically and had attempted to hit cops with his car at least twice before he was killed at around 2:15 p.m. local time. [1]
