Robert James Burnette is a resident of Wentzville, Missouri.

On November 8, 2016, Burnette was charged with abuse or neglect of a child, causing serious emotional or physical injury of his 6 week old son, who is unlikely to survive.

The abuse happened between October 18, 2016 and November 7, 2016 at his home in the 100 block of St. Charles Street in Wentzville, Missouri and involved more than putting fingers into the infant’s throat.

He has also grabbed the baby by the back of the neck slamming him into the bed to make him stop crying.

^[2]If the baby survives, there is a strong possibility he would have extreme physical and mental disabilities.

Burnette is held in lieu of $500,000 cash-only bail.
