Robert Fuller was an African American man in his 20s who was found dead hanging from a tree in Palmdale, California in early June 2020. May activists believe that his death may have been a lynching rather than a suicide and have been sharing the hashtag #JusticeForRobertFuller on Twitter. [1] [2] [4] [5] [6]
Death
On Wednesday morning June 10, 2020 at about 3:20 a.m. the Palmdale Sheriff Station received a call of a person hanging from a tree, in the Poncitlan Square, which is located in the civic area of Palmdale City Hall.
Upon emergency personnel arrival on the scene, they found Robert Fuller deceased hanging from a tree in the square, right across from LA County Fire Station 37.
No further details have been released by the Palmdale Sheriff Station as this death remains under investigation.
Fuller's sister, Diamond Alexander stated on Facebook:
"Words can’t describe how much my family is hurting right now,” Alexander captioned a photo of Fuller on Thursday (June 11, 2020).
“Today we just got word that Robert body was found hanging in a tree out in Palmdale.
It’s still under investigation.
If anyone seen anything please come forward.
Brother you will forever be in our heart.
RIP.”
