Rick Yorn is a talent agent who is responsible for discovering Leonardo DiCaprio. Rick and his two brothers, Pete and Kevin have been called by Nikki Finke "The Yorn Dynasty" due to there success and influence in Hollywood.
Early Life
Rick was born and raised in Montville, New Jersey.
His mother was a real estate agent and his father was a dentist.
Rick attended Montville Township High School and graduated from the university of Maryland.
Career
Rick was a broker as a broker at La Jolla originally, but changer career paths and became an assistant manager at Susan Smith & Associates.
Rick Yorn's first client was Benicio Del Toro.
His eye for talent shined when he signed Leonardo DiCaprio who's biggest success at the time was the TV sitcom Growing Pains. After DiCaprio's performance in Titanic, Rick's career took off.
Rick's client list also includes Martin Scorsese, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill and Reese Witherspoon.
Rick was instrumental in the creation of the Wolf of Wall Street in which he is listed as the Executive Producer.
He pitched the movie multiple studios who all were not interested.
The movie ended up being picked up by Paramount after early producer Brad Grey was hired to run their studio.
The movie became a huge success and grossed $400 million.
Rick has been a producer for Boardwalk Empire and an Executive Producer for Vinyl, Gangs of New York, and The Aviator.
