From 2015-January 2018 Rebecca Sparrow was a guidance counselor at Cuyahoga Falls High School, a high school within the Cuyahoga Falls City School District in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Rebecca Sparrow has been on paid leave from Cuyahoga Falls High School since January, 9, 2018. Sparrow was placed on leave due to allegations that she “engaged in conduct unbecoming of a teacher” some time in the 2015-16 school year, and that she revealed student information to a third party without permission, according to a January, 9, 2018 letter in her personnel file.
Prior to becoming a high school guidance counselor, Rebecca Sparrow was a special education teacher in at Bolich Middle School from 2007-2015. Bolich Middle School is also in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District.

In 2015, Rebecca Sparrow graduated from the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico with a Master of Education in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services. She previously graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona with a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching in 2007.
Sparrow graduated from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication in 2003.
Legal Issues
On Friday, April 20, 2018 Rebecca Sparrow was indicted on one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, in Summit County Common Pleas Court. Sparrow pleaded not not guilty to the charge. A pretrial date has been set for April 30, 2018 at 8:30 a.m before Judge Amy Corrigall Jones for Sparrow. [1]
The indictment alleges Sparrow engaged in “sexual conduct” with an individual enrolled at a school where she worked “on or about” Feb. 1 to May 23, 2016.
Bath, Ohio police confirmed the victim was a 17-year-old student who has since graduated. [1]
She has been released on a personal recognizance bond and is barred from contacting the alleged victim in the case, according to court records.
