Raphael Orlove is an automotive journalist based out of New York City who writes for the motoring blog Jalopnik which is part of the Gizmodo Media Group. He will also be co-hosting Car vs. America Jalopnik first television show which premiers on October 18, 2017.

He has worked as a writer for Jalopnik since July, 2013 and first joined the blog as an Editorial Assistant in September, 2011.
Raphael and Michael Ballaban the Deputy Editor of Jalopnik will be hosting Car vs. America Jalopnik's first television show which premiers on October 18, 2017 on Fusion TV.
From June-August, 2010 Raphael previously worked as a Research Intern for the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento, California. In this role, he conducted research for upcoming exhibits, coordinated the development of a museum archive and outreach network, and helped in reorganizing the museum layout and thematic emphasis.
Raphael Orlove worked as a Lab Assistant for the University of California-Davis Department of Land and Water Resources from May-September, 2009. In this role he, collected, analyzed, and organized data from multiple projects on water use in plants, integrated findings with the full-time researchers. Raphael also conducted research for an upcoming grant proposal.

Raphael Orlove studied at the New York University from 2007-2011 graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Raphael previously graduated from Davis Senior High School in Davis, California.
