Q Money

Qamar Williams (born December 5, 1995), professionally known as Q Money, is an American rapper from Avon, Ohio. He is signed to Warner Bros. Records.

Early Life & Education

Williams was born in Cleveland. He grew up in the St. Clair-East 185th Street neighborhood and at the Park Place apartment complex on East Boulevard and East 105th Street. He graduated from Euclid High School in 2015.

Career

Williams worked as a lifeguard at the Glenville Rec Center for a short time before his song “Work” started picking up streams. He also released the popular Q-Money Challenge, a dance-off that had people submit videos of themselves dancing to his music for $7,000 in prizes. [1]

In August 2018, Williams released “Neat”, and his mixtape, “Ain’t S—t Funny” was released later that month. [1]

In the Media

In April 2019, Williams was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of another 24-year-old rapper in DeKalb County, Georgia. [1]
