Priscilla Pesci
Priscilla Pesci is a California-based venture capitalist and entrepreneur.
She is particularly known for being the founder of elumines, a project aiming to help companies build their brand in a rapidly shifting media landscape.[0] [1]
She attended Boston College and the University of San Francisco, where she designed her own major in foreign languages and comparative literature, with a minor in philosophy.
Additionally, she obtained a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership in 2015.
From 1996 to 1998, Pesci worked as a senior director of international marketing for Fox Family Worldwide.
During this period she was instrumental in developing Fox Kids Worldwide, e.g. orchestrated on-air launches in the U.K., Germany, and Latin America.
Subsequently, from 1998 to 2000, Pesci worked at CBS as the head of international marketing.
During this period, Pesci collaborated closely on all international product launches of mass media products, such as Survivor, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Big Brother, The King of Queens, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
At CBS, Pesci created state-of-the-art marketing and distribution materials for top 50 global broadcasters, which elevated after-sales service—at the time a new concept for the international marketplace.
After her experience at CBS, in 2001, Pesci was hired by MGM Worldwide Television Group as a chief marketing executive.
During the years 2001-2006, Pesci had oversight of global television marketing budgets and all facets of marketing for the entertainment, domestic (basic, pay, and cable), domestic syndication, MGM-NBC Media Barter Sales, international distribution, MGM Networks, corporate advertising, and communications groups.
As the chief marketing officer of MGM Worldwide Television Group, she contributed, developed, and launched billion-dollar franchises, such as Legally Blonde, James Bond, Pink Panther, and Stargate.Later,
in 2006, Pesci was promoted to senior franchise marketing and digital media specialist. Pesci
directed a marketing campaign and digital media initiatives for “Stargate Atlantis”, a TV series that garnered the 2008 People's Choice Awards as “Favorite Sci Fi Show.” Additionally,
she negotiated and executed multi-platform music and media campaigns with high-profile brands such as EMI, J Records, Korn, Coldplay, F.Y.E., and Dell. Notably,
during the following four years at MGM Pesci pioneered the first studio franchise social network community and built and branded some of the highest-trafficked fan and social media communities on Myspace, YouTube and Facebook. She
has also been credited with initiating one of the first branded-achievement, integrated e-commerce systems.
In 2010, Pesci joined Lionsgate Entertainment Corporation.
As the television division’s chief of marketing she was overseeing all facets of consumer and business to business marketing.During
one year of her employment with Lionsgate Pesci designed and introduced a first-of-its-kind instantaneous, digital delivery system for video and print content, including blueprints for unique global advertising and revenue-generating opportunities.
In 2011, Priscilla Pesci founded elumines, a provider of media, content, and production solutions.
Specializing in media, entertainment, music, and fashion, elumines creates turnkey, results-oriented, full-scale brand and media campaigns for its top-level clientele, with a special focus on charitable outreach.
As of May 2019, some of elumines’s clients include: BBC, EMI, MTV, Sony Pictures, and Virgin Records.
In March 2018, Pesci joined Quake Capital Partners as a managing partner.
Quake Capital is an accelerator focused on making seed level investments in new and early stage ventures across a wide range of industries.
Since April 2019, she has been a global managing partner of Quake Capital for Europe.
