Interview with Ivanka Trump

On September 14th Prachi held an interview with Ivanka Trump about Donald Trump's childcare and maternity leave policies. In one of her questions, Prachi asked "In 2004, Donald Trump said that pregnancy is an inconvenient thing for a business. It's surprising to see this policy from him today. Can you talk a little about those comments, and perhaps what has changed?" Ivanka responded that she did not appreciate Prachi's negativity and stated she was unaware of those comments. Prachi presented an NBC article of his words and Ivanka countered by saying no matter what your political viewpoint, her father's policy should be celebrated.

Prachi also questioned why the maternity leave did not apply to gay couples where Ivanka responded that the plan right now is focusing on mothers, including lesbian couples.

When asked about how Trump would pay for his child care proposal, Ivanka followed up by stating the plan is budget neutral than abruptly ended the interview.
