Phillip Liu Jr.
Phillip Bryne Yunhan Liu Jr. (born 1994 or 1995) is an entrepreneur and investor. He attended Cornell University.
Early Life & Education
Phillip Liu was raised in Seattle, Washington. He grew up having an entrepreneurial mindset. In high school, he created a renewable energy startup called EcoDiesel. The company's goal was to turn waste vegetable oil into clean, usable, efficient biodiesel and distribute it to the public.
After graduating from Raisbeck Aviation High School in 2014, he attended Cornell University. He is currently a senior, double-majoring in Applied Economics and Management. He is also involved in several student organizations, including:

Career
During his college career, Liu gained experience with three different businesses.
He interned with a firm every summer.
In May 2015, he took a short-term position at BZM Global, a Chinese funding company in New York City, with business focus on fin-tech projects.
In the summer of 2017, he moved to Boston to take a position at Accenture: a strategic consultancy firm with an emphasis on technology services.
In 2018, he moved to San Francisco and joined JLab, the cryptocurrency arm of renowned Chinese Private-equity firm JD Capital.
He is currently leading strategy and operations at Ava Labs, a project building a cryptocurrency and computing platform on top of Avalanche consensus.
Personal Life
Phillip Liu is a fan of the Seattle Seahawks.
