Peter Brack

Peter Brack

Peter Brack is an American venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He spent much of his career in China, where he is one of very few foreign entrepreneurs to build a large company and eventually take it public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Now based in California, he is known as a key player in LA’s growing venture and startup community.

Education & Career

Peter is currently a Venture Partner at Mucker Capital in Los Angeles.

Peter co-founded and was CEO of One Media Group Ltd., a leading Chinese-language lifestyle and entertainment content publisher. One Media Group went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2005. Peter also co-founded Redgate Media Group, a diversified television and outdoor media and entertainment company, headquartered in Beijing, China. Redgate merged with a public company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2012. Prior to co-founding Redgate Media Group and One Media Group, Peter was an executive at Time Warner. Peter was Senior Vice President, Time Inc. International where he was responsible for the revenues and overall profitability of TIME Magazine and Fortune Magazine's Asia editions. He oversaw the Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney offices. Earlier, Peter was at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc, where he helped to launch CNN and Cartoon Network in Asia.

Peter has lived in five countries, is a trustee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, has BA from Tulane University, and studied at The American University of Paris.

Personal Life
