History
Pepe Jeans was founded in 1973 by three brothers: Arun, Milan, and Nitin Shah.

Later, they expanded to a store in Carnaby Street.
They eventually ran stores in multiple countries by the 1980s.

The brand today has a presence in more than 80 countries across the world.
Pepe Jeans was originally just a small market on the Portobello road located in West London.
The brand was named Pepe because it was a short word that could be written without much trouble.
In February 2015, Pepe Jeans and Hackett London (part of the Pepe Jeans Group) were bought by the Lebanese group M1 and the LVMH subsidiary, L Capital Asia.
These companies were previously owned by Torreal Funds (31 percent), Artá Capital (16.4 percent), L Capital Europe (11.5 percent), and its managers.
