Paz González Merino (born 1979) ^[undefined], is an international editor and CNN Chile news correspondent based at CNN Headquarters, located in Atlanta ^[undefined]. She is fluent in both English and Spanish ^[undefined].

She attended Yale High School between 1996 and 1997 ^[undefined].

She then went on to study at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile ^[undefined] from 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism in 2002 ^[undefined]. During her college years, she had the opportunity to collaborate with BBC Radio in London ^[undefined].

Between February 2006 and March 2006, Paz González attended the Histadruit Institute in Israel and obtained the certification for media coverage in conflict areas ^[undefined].

From 2002 till 2008, Paz González was a Journalist with Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) ^[undefined]. Her time with TVN provided her with experience in international issues and relations, specialising in conflicts zones, especially Israel, Colombia and Venezuela ^[undefined].

Paz González has been with CNN Chile since its launch in December 2008 ^[undefined] as a news correspondent and international editor.

She runs the program - 'CONEXIÓN GLOBAL desde Atlanta' (Global Connection from Atlanta), on CNN Chile every Monday to Friday between 17:00 to 17:30 ^[undefined].

In May 2017, the first collaborative programme between CNN Chile and Chilevisión Noticias (CNV) - "Venezuela Urgente" was launched. The programme aims to broadcast about the social issues and economic crisis surrounding Venezuela ^[undefined]. Paz González is in charge of investigating relations between United States and Venezuela due to her expertise on international issues ^[undefined].

Paz González was born in 1979 in Copiapó, a city in Northern Chile, to Pilar Merino and Lalo González. Her father is a well-known folklorist.

She is married and has two children ^[undefined].
