^[1] Even though he grew up in a Christian home, he rejected the Christian belief and lifestyle. His grandmother helped to shape a lot of his faith. It was through her example that helped him to put his faith into practice. It wasn’t until years later that his faith became his own at a crisis point in his life. It was a simple prayer that bought him into the reality of true faith in Christ. He said "It was His grace that enabled me to accept the righteousness of God instead of struggling to obtain my own righteousness. Because grace was freely given to me I, in turn, am able to see others change as I encourage others to trust in the finished works of Christ Jesus on the cross".

At the age of 23 he received and accepted God’s call on his life.

He answered the call out of a grateful heart towards God.

He has been in ministry now for almost 30 years.

He is the founder and lead pastor of Faith Alive Fellowship Church in Fort Lauderdale.

He is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Presence Gathering Church and Presence Gathering Network (global outreach), Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area, Florida.

^[2] His focus is to bring people into a personal encounter with the manifest presence of God. He places a high priority on ministering the manifest Presence and grace of God, while placing a premium on caring for people.

He is married to the lovely Dr. Cindy Trimm-Tomlinson, and together with their four children and four grandchildren; they are committed to helping people from all walks of life to properly relate to God, themselves, and others.

The two were on a speaking engagement in Bermuda, Dr Trimm’s home Island, during a conference that ran from Friday to Sunday. On the last evening of the conference, Tomlinson went down in one knee and asked Dr Trimm to marry him. He is an Americanauthor and Preacher speaker.
