Rodriguez was raised in Pinole, CA and is of Filipino heritage. [undefined] He grew up in a large Filipino household and his father collected vinyl records of the likes of Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, and The Beatles. [undefined] In 2011, P-Lo began to become involved in the Hyphy San Francisco scene and joined The HBK Gang. [undefined] His early influences were The Neptunes and Kanye West whose intiricate sampling and orchestration on albums like Late Registration would deeply affect P-Lo's style. [undefined] Some of P-Lo's most notable credits include Wiz Khalifa's "Bout Me" and Yo Gotti's "Act Right." [undefined]
In 2016, P-Lo released the album Before Anything and would follow up a year later with More Than Anything. [undefined] His most popular song to date is "Put Me On Something" featuring E-40. [undefined]
