Saudi Arabia Deportation Rumors
Within 48 hours, he gained over 800,000 followers on Facebook.
In July 2013, three months after the rumors started, he admitted that the story was misleading and that he was never kicked out.
Debunking the rumors that were spread worldwide, he said that he and two delegates from the United Arab Emirates attended the annual Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh; they were allegedly just "looking for something to do." [34]
Al Gala said some girls at the festival recognized him and asked for his autograph and a photo.
When the crowd of female admirers grew, he said Saudi Arabia's religion police intervened and asked him to leave the festival, not the country.
They came and they asked me politely to leave the festival [ …] because it’s not really allowed to mix with girls there.
Looking back at the incident, Borkan al-Gala credits the Saudi Arabia incident for kick starting his modeling career.
