Omar Bawa
Omar Bawa (b. 1993) is an entrepreneur. He is also one of the founder of Goodwall, a social media platform where students can showcase their academic and extracurricular achievements.
Early Life & Education
Omar Bawa was born in Switzerland. His parents worked in the humanitarian sector for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. He was introduced to the non-profit sector at an early age and lived in several areas around the world, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Iran. When he was 8 years old, his father took him to a UNHCR refugee camp in Iran, where he helped distribute fried sugary sweets to all the children.
Omar Bawa holds a Law degree (LLB) from the University of Geneva. He studied international intellectual property law with a scholarship at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)'s Academy and International Humanitarian Law at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in San Remo.[1]
Omar also took product design and innovation courses at Stanford University, as well as marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[1]

Omar Bawa started Goodwall with his brother Taha to inspire and encourage young people to achieve more, maximize their potential, and make a positive impact on society. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Since November 2018, he has been Goodwall's COO. He has also been the company's Chief Product Officer since July 2015.

He has been named on Forbes 30 Under 30, has served on the Editorial Board of the United Nations Magazine, is a Kairos Global Fellow, has been a speaker at TEDx, Google, and the IB Heads Conference.
