Biography
The daughter of a Spanish father and a Peruvian mother, Martínez studied at Colegio San Francisco de Borja.
When she finished high school she attended dance workshops and then acting workshops with Roberto Ángeles and Alberto Ísola.
Her first participation in television was in the soap opera Obsesión.
Martinez travelled to Spain and lived there for five years.
In 2000 she appeared in the American film Proof of Life by director Taylor Hackford.
In 2002 she participated in the Spanish soap opera Géminis, venganza de amor on TVE, after which she was part of the series Hospital Central on Telecinco. In 2005 she participated in the series Cuéntame, also on TVE.
In 2006 she participated in the Peruvian series Esta sociedad, and also in the second season in 2008.
In 2007 she acted in the plays Bicho under the direction of Juan Carlos Fisher, and La fiesta del chivo under the direction of Jorge Alí Triana.
In 2009 she appeared in the Spanish film La vergüenza, by director David Planell, which won Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Málaga Film Festival. At the end of 2009, she was invited to the Cannes Film Festival to present Altiplano.
In 2011, the jury of the 4th International Short Film Festival "La Noche de los Cortos" (The Night of the Short Films) awarded her with the prize for Best Actress, for her performance in the short film Intensive Care by director Brian Jacobs. She also participated in the plays La chica del Maxim, Los últimos días de Judas Iscariote and En la otra habitación.
In 2012 Martínez participated in the soap opera La Tayson, corazón rebelde as "Luisa". The same year she made her début in the cultural space Sucedió en el Peru on TV Perú. In theater, she acted in the play La falsa criada under the direction of Alberto Ísola.
In February 2013 she acted in the play Proyección privada under the direction of Gilbert Rouvière. Martínez appears that year in the films The Gospel of the Flesh and Rocanrol 68.
In 2016 she participated in the Colombian series La esclava blanca by Caracol Televisión, playing the evil "Adela".
