Nicole Gaouette

Nicole Gaouette is a journalist based in Washington, D.C. She is a national security reporter for CNN Politics. [1]

Education

She completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Asian studies. Gaouette then went on to attend Columbia University School of Journalism, from 1995-1996, receiving a Master of Science in journalism.

Career

Prior to joining CNN, Gaouette spent seven years at Bloomberg News as a State Department reporter, where she produced breaking news stories and analysis pieces explaining administration foreign policy and strategy.

She has covered national security and foreign affairs for publications such as The Los Angeles Times and Christian Science Monitor. Gaouette has reported from 69 countries worldwide, and been based in Asia, The Middle East, and Europe.

Personal Life

She hails from Toronto, Canada.
