Praying mantis eating ‘murder hornet’
NatureIsMetal Compilation
The video shared by Nature is Metal on Twitter shows a praying mantis eating a murder hornet. The invasive Asian giant hornets have been spotted in Washington, measuring 2 inches long. Experts say they are not big humans killers, although they do happen on rare occasions.
Scientists are concerned these hornets will decimate beehives.
The largest hornets in the world do decapitate entire hives of honeybees.
In the video, the mantis and hornet are locked in a fight.
The mantis grabs the hornet and holds tight when it turns its back.
The mantis then started chewing the head of the hornet until nothing was left.
The hornet is trying to sting its captor the whole time, but is unsuccessful.

Uprising
Indian elephant average height is 10 ft (3 m)
You’d think that would be sufficient in protecting you from a pissed off tiger, you’d obviously be wrong.
Zoos make tiger enclosures at least 20 ft high, since anything less will mean tigers in your backyard.
This particular tiger escaped from a sanctuary in India.
By taking it back, these men were trying to protect the local livestock.
Your Dog Is A Wolf
These are mostly hybrids, estimated to be 70% pure timberwolf - the other 30% is malamute.
Another thing I’d like to clarify: I love dogs, but more importantly I respect their capability to snap back to being little savages if need be.
Even the small ones.
Give it a try!
Stop feeding it for a week, it'll start staring at you with all the trimmings like a glazed ham!
That's what every dog would do, given the chance.
I’d like to point out that these dogs aren’t starving (they’re wild as shit) and the owner of this video did not throw the chicken to the dogs, this just happened and he was there to catch it on video.
Manufactured Animosity
This happened close to a year ago in a Dutch zoo.
Of whatever reason, the bears and the wolves share the enclosure.
A spokesman for the zoo said: ‘The animals are put together to challenge them like this to play with each other.’ He continued: ‘It’s a piece of enrichment for the animal kingdom.
What happened Monday is really a one-time incident.
The animals have always lived in good harmony with each other.’ ‘It’s always gone well.
We decided years ago to put the wolves and brown bears together. That’s
good for the animals and we also see no reason to break them up now.’ [32]
