Monquiarious Caldwell was a American 23 year-old who was shot to death at a university campus while his friend on October, 2017. ^[2]

Born and raised in the state of Louisiana, Caldwell grew up in the town of Farmerville for most of his life. ^[0]Since he was a young boy, he had a gift for sports. He went on to play American Football all four years at Union Parish High School. He was a top player on his team. ^[5]

In the early morning of October 25th, 2017, Caldwell's body was found near the courtyard between the dorm buildings at Grambling State University. According to several accounts, the shooting was caused by an alleged altercation that took place

inside of a dormitory building of the university.

Caldwell was visiting his friend, Earl Andrews, a student at the university who was also shot to death. ^[4]

The police were alerted by a female student about the shooting.

The suspect remains at large as multiple agencies are investigating the shooting.
