Milla Margareta Vahtila (born in 28.12.1989 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish freelance photographer and journalist collaborating with various media outlets and reporting from different events. [undefined] She is based in Helsinki, Finland, and she is known as a fitness and well-being enthusiast. She is married to Markku Vahtila (24.4.1989) who is a gymnast in the Finnish national team. Career
The photography career of Milla started at the age of 18 after getting herself a professional camera and beginning to capture photographs at the sports events in which her current husband Markku, an aspiring gymnast back then, was competing.
Eventually, she started documenting a greater variety of sports events in addition indoor gymnastics (i.a. fencing, ski-jumping, riding, swimming and speed-skating), the pictures from which she sold on a freelancer basis to interested parties and media outlets.
Combining her passion to write with photographing at sports events, Milla first started as a freelance sports journalist-photographer for the Finnish Gymnast Union (Suomen voimistelijaliitto, i.e. Svoli) in 2009.
[1] The same year, she started as a freelancer for Kymen Sanomat, providing annually for the sports section a number of articles about artistic gymnastics.
Voima-Vahtila
'Voima-Vahtila' was established in March 2015 as a tradename of the mutual entrepreneurial project between Milla and her husband Markku, the objective of which is to promote fitness as a lifestyle and to reflect their different approaches to the topic.
Voima-Vahtila has adopted three distinct functions: content sharing in social media, provision of different courses, and the sale of gymnastic products.
Voima-Foto
Milla established the tradename 'Voima-Foto' in January 2016 in order to promote her photography services to private individuals and other parties.
[undefined] ALthough Voima-Foto is administered under Wide Angle Production the same way as Voima-Vahtila, Voima-Foto is Milla's independent entrepreneurial project with an exclusive focus on photography.
Education
Milla was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, where she attended the "Mäkelänrinteen lukio" highschool (2005-2008).
She matriculated with the highest grade ('laudatur') in three subjects – Finnish, biology and geography.
She studied at University of Helsinki, from where she earned a bachelor's degree in environmental biology (2008-2013) and a master's degree in environmental science (2013-2016). She studied simultaneously at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, from where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism (2012-2016). [1] [undefined]

In 2015 and 2016 she won silver in the Finnish Championships for pull-ups.
