Mike Dee is a mobile developer, entrepreneur, and business executive. He is the co-founder and CTO of Foodworks , a company that provides a shared workspace, community, and services for chefs and food entrepreneurs.
Early Life & Education
Dee grew up in Washington, D.C. After graduating from St. Albans School, he attended Georgetown University. He eventually graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. [7]
Career
After graduating from university in 2013, Dee co-founded Grazer Inc., a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows users to display and tap into unique specialty dishes within their neighborhood. [5]
While working on Grazer, he was an iOS developer for Bubble, a content sharing and discovery platform that allows people to share 9-second teasers of streaming video. [9]
In 2015, Dee co-founded Foodworks (previously known as Homemade).
He, along with his co-founder Nick Devane, created a co-working space for chefs and food entrepreneurs to start their own food business from scratch and/or scale their companies. [13] Forbes called their company "a "WeWork" for cooks." [13]
As of the end of 2017, Foodworks has helped start more than 195 companies, with the majority of them being owned by women or minorities.
