Mike Cagney is co-founder and CEO of Social Finance.
He is responsible for evangelizing the Social Finance model and leads overall operations and corporate strategy and development.
In addition, Cagney is a co-founder and a managing partner of Cabezon Investment Group, a global macro hedge fund.
Before Cabezon, Cagney founded Finaplex, where he was CEO and then vice chairman and chief architect.
The leader in wealth-management software was eventually sold to Broadridge.
Before Finaplex, Cagney was senior vice president and head trader for the proprietary trading and financial products group at Wells Fargo Bank.
Cagney holds an M.S. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
He also received a combined B.A./M.S. from the University of California, Santa Cruz in applied economics.
