Mihai Alisie

Mihai Alisie is a Romanian technology & media entrepreneur and blockchain enthusiast based in Zurich .

He is known for co-founding Bitcoin Magazine and Ethereum alongside Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum had a number of other co-founders as well).

Currently, Alisie is the Founder of the AKASHA Project.[6]

Early Life and Education

Alisie is originally from Romania.

He attended the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu where he studied cybernetics, economy informatics and statistics and earned his degree in 2010.[6]

Career

Alisie launched the first interview of Bitcoin Magazine from his living room in Romania in 2011.[1]Today, Bitcoin Magazines has over 100,000 readers and is one of the largest distributed Bitcoin industry publications.[1]Alisie was Editor in Chief of Bitcoin Magazine from December 2012 to April 2014.

He stepped down in order to focus on Ethereum.

Alisie was their Chief Innovation Officer and later Vice President.

He left Ethereum to launch the AKASHA Project in October 2015 which explores applications and implications of a permanent web in the context of social networks, freedom of expression, creative perpetuity, and privacy.[6]
