Michelle Marks was a 23 year old mother from Brooklyn, New York. She and her boyfriend Sam Hall, had three children together. She worked as a cashier at Fornino Pizza at Pier 6, a waterfront park in Brooklyn. Michelle Marks was the daughter of Pauline Marks.

Death

Michelle Marks was killed by her abusive ex-boyfriend Lamont Wright while walking home from her job at Fornino Pizza.

The murder took place near the Pier 6 park on Joralemon St. near Furman St. about 9:30 p.m. Monday June 6, 2016.

Lamont Wright followed Michelle Marks while she was walking home at around 9 p.m on Monday June 6, 2016.

Michelle called her current boyfriend, Sam Hall about Lamont Wright.

Sam texted Michelle's mother Pauline, that Lamont was following with her a gun.

Sam Hall said he then heard Lamont Wright shoot Michelle, and he then called 911.

Michelle Marks had filed at least three harassment reports against Wright and was was planning to file an order of protection against him on Tuesday June 7, 2016.

Pauline Marks said she first met Lamont Wright on Sunday June 5, 2016 when he beat Michelle in front of her home.

Wright had a long criminal record with convictions for rape, assault and burglary.
