Michelle Margaux
Early Life
Michelle is originally from Sacramento and grew up in Northern California. From a young age, Michelle knew that she wanted to do broadcast journalism and would pretend to read the news in front of her playhouse to her mother. When Michelle's parents divorced, Michelle saw sports as an outlet for her not to feel alone. She would get home from school and watch Oakland A's games because it was the only program live at the time and overtime would develop a passion for sports. She began to watch ESPN in the morning and study the anchor's voice and mannerisms. [11]

After graduating from Bella Vista High School, she became a student at the University of San Diego. [6] An active part of the campus community, Michelle was a member of the Women's Crew Team, the National Communication Honors Society Lambda Pi Eta, and was the Main Anchor/Reporter as well as the Recruitment Coordinator for USDtv. [6] She graduated in 2014 with a degree in Communication & Political Science. [6]
Career
During college, Michelle worked as an intern for Fox Sports and worked as a Field Producer for the Prep Pigskin Report for KUSI Television. [12] Upon graduating, Michelle moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to be a hybrid news/sports reporter for a local station and worked under talent coach Bill Cakmis. [6] [12] She kept in contact with her former boss at Fox Sports in San Diego who she would ask for advice and send her reels. [12] In 2015, Michelle and her coworkers earned 2nd place in the AP Broadcast awards for "Best Sports Anchor Team." [6]
In 2016, Michelle returned to Fox Sports San Diego to fill a variety of roles.
She was a sideline reporter for the San Diego Padres, LA Clippers, college basketball, and high school football.
In addition, Michelle co-produced the magazine-style weekly show, Padres POV.

In September 2019, Margaux announced that she was going to leave TV broadcasts in an Instagram post. She wrote:
Houston,
This was by far the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make.
I will not be rejoining you for Rockets & Astros coverage.
I had an amazing year covering James Harden and his incredible, record-breaking season.
I will forever be thankful for the people I met and the games I witnessed.
I appreciate the network, the Rockets/Astros, my producers, and you viewers.
This was not an easy decision to leave Space City but I’m taking a couple months off from “full-time work” to reboot and to support my partner in his career the same way he’s supported me in mine.
I’ll keep you posted on my next move🥰[20]
In November 2019, Margaux and Ben Verlanders started a podcast called Millennial Sports Talk.
The guests of the podcast include Corey Brewer, Joe Musgrove, Ryan Hollins, Kurt Busch, and others.[19]
