Michael Sonnenshein is an investment manager best known for his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Grayscale Investments, a leading digital currency investing services company with over $20 billion in assets under management.
Career
Michael started his career in 2008 as an Analyst at Bank of America. In 2009, he became an Analyst at Barclays, providing coverage to middle‐market hedge funds and institutions. From 2011 to 2014, he was an Associate at J.P. Morgan, covering high-net-worth individuals and institutions. In 2014, he joined Grayscale as an Account Executive. From 2018 and until now, Michael has been a Managing Director at Grayscale Investments.Since March 2020, Sonnenshein has also been an Editorial Review Board Member at Investopedia.[2]
Since January 2021, he became the Chief Executive Officer at Grayscale Investments.[2] As Chief Executive Officer, Sonnenshein is expected to guide Grayscale's strategic direction and help scale the business. As part of that effort, the company expects to double its staff in 2021, as well as roll out new investment products.[12][14] Sonnenshein said:

Michael was honored in 2018 as one of Business Insider’s Rising Stars of Wall Street.[15]
Education
In 2008, Michael received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Goizueta Business School. Later, in 2015, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business.[2]
