Michael Roque is a a student at Binghamton University from Massapequa, New York. In April 2018 he was charged with the fatal stabbing of his classmate Joao Souza in his dorm room. [1]

Murder

On Monday, April 16, 2018 Police arrested Michael Roque at his dorm room after an hours-long manhunt.

He was charged with Second degree murder in the death of Joao Souza, a freshman engineering student at Binghamton University. [1]

Michael Roque pleaded not guilty and is being held at the Broome County Jail. [1]

Roque is accused of stabbing the victim multiple times with a knife.

Joao Souza was found with stab wounds inside the Windham Hall residence suite at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Souza was taken to UHS Wilson Medical Center, and pronounced deceased. [1]
