Early Life

Micah Trautwein was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to the Dominican Republic with her family at the age of four. She grew up in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic and was homeschooled using The Potter's School curriculum. Trautwein later attended Wheaton Academy in Chicago. [0] [4]

Micah Trautwein is a human biology student at Stanford University planning to graduate in 2019. As part of her studies, Trautwein took a year long Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course. She is interested in concentrating in global health and infectious diseases. [3] Trautwein has been a member of the Stanford Cardinal Women's Light Rowing Team since 2015. The team won the IRA National Championship in 2016, 2017 and 2018. [1]
Teaching
Micah Trautwein is passionate about helping children and taught preschoolers through first graders in Dominican elementary schools. She often worked with the children of migrant workers, especially when she worked at a school in a remote village surrounded by sugar cane fields. Trautwein has also worked with Kids Alive International, a Christian charity dedicated to helping "at risk" children. [3] [0]
