Melanie Hamrick is a ballet dancer. She is a professional ballet dancer and performer at New York for the American Ballet Theatre. She is also known for being romantically involved with The The Rolling Stones' lead vocalist Mick Jagger.

was born at Williamsburg, Virginia. Her ballet training began at a young age at the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts.

As she progressed and continued her dedication to the craft, she trained for five years at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., where she studied with rigorous and demanding teachers. ^[1]

As a young dancer, Hamrick became involved in summer intensive programs at the School of American Ballet for years, and later continued with the American Ballet Theatre until she joined the company as a member of the corps de ballet in April 2004 at the age of 17. ^[1] Hamrick recalls the experience as follows:

Hamrick trains using the "Refined Method", a precise program created by Brynn Putnam, that helps dancers condition by using plyometrics and strengthening exercises.

Of the intense lifestyle as a dancer, she says: "Our work environment is already intense.

If you make your eating intense, it's too much, especially since you’re looking at your body all day in the mirrors."

In April 2019, Hamrick debuted a ballet in Russia; it was based on Rolling Stones songs.

In 2014, Melanie ended an engagement with prolific classical Cuban dancer, José Manuel Carreño. Months after, Melanie and her friends saw The Rolling Stones at a concert in Japan. She was invited backstage to meet the band, and that was apparently the first encounter between Mick Jagger and Mel with sources claiming they did not hook up that night, nor thereafter. At the time, Mick Jagger was devoted to his longtime girlfriend of 13 years, L'Wren Scott, who had committed suicide a few months after Mick's chance meeting with Melanie.

Weeks after L'Wren Scot committed suicide, he was spotted with Melanie in a luxurious hotel balcony in Zurich.

The couple since have developed a romance.

Sir Mick, who is 73 years old, would smuggle Melanie into his palatial hotels as the band toured Latin America earlier in 2016. Friends of the enigmatic singer think the baby, which will be Jagger's eighth, was the result of a romantic meeting after Melanie jetted to the Colombian capital of Bogotá in March. It was where the Stones played their first ever gig to a throng of 45,000 fans at the Memesio Camacho El Campin Stadium ahead of their final historic gig in Cuba.

Mick and Melanie claim to have a casual relationship and they like to keep it quiet, as Melanie prefers not to discuss her privacy.

Mick has expressed that he vows to support her and the baby and that he was shocked to learn that he will have another child.

He has introduced her to his ­children and the pair visited his private ­Caribbean island of Mustique earlier this year. Melanie has no plans to move to London from New York when the baby is born. But she may relocate to Los Angeles where he spends a lot of time or to Connecticut to be near her family.

In late 2016, Mr. Jagger bought her a $7 Million Townhouse in New York City.
