Maya Hari

Maya Hari is a business leader with a proven track record in mobile, data services, digital monetization and lifestyle commerce. She has two decades of experience in technology and digital lifestyle from companies such as Twitter, Google, Conde Nast, Samsung, Microsoft and Cisco.[2]

Education

Maya is a graduate of INSEAD where she obtained her Master of Business Administration in 2005. During her study in INSEAD, she was the winner of the Loreal scholarship for creativity and entrepreneurship.[3] She graduated from Harvard Business School where she studied executive education in 2019 and obtained her Master of Science from Utah State University.[4][5]

Experience

Maya was the senior director, product strategy and sales at Twitter from 2014 to October 2016. Her responsibility were focused on product revenue and go-to-market strategies as well as leading a geographically distributed organisation specialised in TV and video (Second Screen, Native and Mobile, Live Streaming) , big data insights and services , and multi-channel performance marketing.

She is currently the vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and India.

She is responsible for leading Twitter's Asia Pacific Strategy, commercial and growth operations of the business.[6] She has been the president at TiE Singapore since September 2019 and the board director at OpenLearning Global; a MOOC platform that brings ease of creation, running, teaching and enrolling in educative courses since April 2018 till date.[7][8] She is an investor at abillionveg and Xoogler Angels.[9]

She was the director of content and services at Samsung from 2012 to 2014 where she led the mobile messaging business for the SouthEast Asia and Oceania, was responsible for building the lifestyle and social content and Apps ecosystem business in Asia and revenue management around monetizable partnerships.

From 2009 to 2012, She was the director at Condé Nast, India where she hired and led a large multi-functional digital team, successfully launched a portfolio of web, WAP and mobile application properties with diverse revenue streams including Ad sales, digital subscriptions and value added services.[10]

She was the head of marketing, partnerships and PR for Microsoft in India from 2007 to 2008 and the marketing and alliances manager for Google in South Asia from 2005 to 2007 during which she spearheaded launch of reseller program for Google in India.[11][12]
