Matthew Apperson is known famously for shooting at George Zimmerman' s head during a road rage incident.

The Incident between Matthew Apperson & George Zimmerman

The altercation happened in the town of Lake Mary, Florida, on May 11, 2015 at around 1 p.m.

Apperson fired a bullet toward's George Zimmerman's head while Zimmerman was in his car.

The bullet missed Zimmerman, but broken glass or tiny pieces of metal sent him to the hospital.

Apperson was later arrested on May 15 at 6:17 PM.

This was the second time in less than a year that these two have had a run in together.

When Zimmerman spoke to his lawyer after the shooting, he said he knew who did it.

Matthew Apperson's Court Ruling

In September 2016, Apperson was found guilty of attempted Second-degree murder, shooting into a vehicle and Armed Assault.

On October 17, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
