Matt Pearce

Matt D. Pearce is an American journalist based in Los Angeles, California. [1] He is a national reporter for the Los Angeles Times. [1] He is a reporter for the Los Angeles Times covering the 2020 presidential election.[10]

Education

Pearce graduated from the University of Missouri. [1]

Career

He has covered news for a number of publications such as the The New Inquiry. At the New Inquiry, he wrote about technology, culture, and The Middle East. [1]

He previously spent six years on The Times’ national desk, where he wrote stories about violence, disasters, social movements and civil liberties.

Pearce was one of the first national reporters to arrive in Ferguson, Mo., during the uprising in 2014, and he chased Hurricane Harvey across Texas as the storm ravaged the Lone Star State in 2017.
