Mary Ellen Hooper is a Story teller and Comedian.
Career
Mary Ellen won Best Female Stand-Up at the 12th American Comedy Awards. She had a spot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 1998 and has also made appearances on The Dennis Miller Show and The Martin Short Show.
Mary Ellen also participated in Comedy Central's Lounge Lizards and had her own half-hour special on Lifetime's standup series Girl's Night Out. She prides herself on being clumsy, but has gracefully has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Gilbert Gottfried, Tommy Davidson, and Wynonna Judd, her good friend. Her first CD, Dignity Under Duress, was released in 1999.
Personal Life
Now Mary Ellen is married to Mark Hervat.
The couple has two sons, Nate and Zeke.
