Hit and Run
In the early afternoon of July 8th, 2017, two friends were riding their bikes on the 444-mile scenic road designated bike route of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The two friends, Greg Goodman and Tyler Noe, had the nice idea to ride their bikes at the parkway. Noe had not ridden a bicycle since his youth.
As the two friends rode their bikes and approached a wide turn, Mr. Neely drove from behind with his black Volvo SUV, hit Noe from behind, and continued driving. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m.
With the help of the GoPro footage Greg was able to capture while riding along with Noe of the collision, law enforcement were able to identify the suspect, mainly by U.S. Park Rangers and Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies, and make the arrest.
Neely was released from the Williamson County Detention Center on Sunday morning after posting $11,500 bail.
