Mark Mayfield was a 17-year-old student at New Prairie High School who was set to graduate in 2017.

Life and Baseball Career

Mayfield was a member of his high school's baseball team where he was a standout at pitcher.

Mark's favorite baseball team was the Chicago Cubs. He is remembered by family and friends for being a dedicated student and athlete and for having a huge heart for others.

Death

On January 23rd, Mayfield was playing in a intramural basketball game at his high school when he was found unresposive in the hallway.

He was rushed to LaPorte Hospital where he was pronounced dead by examiners.
