Marco Grassi
Marco Grassi (born in 1987) is an Italian painter who has stood out for making hyper-realistic paintings.
Biography
He hails from Reggio Emilia, Italy, from a very young age he always had a passion for art, particularly painting. Part of his academic training was carried out at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. He also graduated in the area of Accounting. He then he began to paint independently and self-taught, trying to create his own personal style[4]. This young painter has stood out for the meticulousness of the details that he captures in his paintings.
“Grassi's specialty lies in his unique talent for applying small details that are so true to life, they almost provoke viewers' disbelief.
The bodies appear to be made of porcelain or carved in wood and some even adorned with sophisticated patterns, embroidery, or crochet"[4].
Curiously, he does not consider that his paintings should be called hyperrealistic because he believes that the subjects represented undergo a transformation.
In his paintings we can find landscapes or details that seem to be linked to the woman's body, transforming them into fascinating hybrid creatures[5].
Most of the time he does his work in Milan, Italy.
