Car Crash
On February 4th, 2018, at around 4 a.m., along the westbound lanes of I-70, west of Holt Rd, Edwin Jackson and his Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe stood near the vehicle on the emergency exit, when Orrego-Savala drove his truck directly at them. [1]Jackson fell ill and asked the driver if he could pull-over the side of the road. Orrego-Savala was driving his pick-up truck when he crashed into Jackson
and Monroe.
After the crash, a state trooper spotted the pick-up truck along with the bodies.
As he drove forward and witnessed the crash he accidentally hit the body of Monroe who had been flown off after the impact by Orrego-Savala.
[2]Savala tried to escape on foot but was later caught.
He was tested for the consumption of alcohol which resulted in 0.239 percent, almost three times the legal limit.
Orrego-Savala was arrested and is being held at Marion County Jail.
He is expected to be deported.
