Manuel Casas is a Sergeant for the Mission Police Department in Texas. ^[0]He appeared in a Facebook Live video some time during Memorial Day weekend, 2017, where it appeared he was drinking and smoking Marijuana. ^[0]

Born and raised in the state of Texas near the border and for most of his life in the town of Mission, Texas. He remains in the same town with is family. He is of Chicano

He is also a devout Christian who has performed many events where he has helped dozens of people expel their demons disguised as vices. He has given many speeches and is an active member of the church. ^[4]

Officer Manuel Casas is a Sergeant in the department of Mission Police where he has served more than 16 years. His total years of experience in Law enforcement totals to a little over 20 years. ^[2]

During the Memorial Day weekend of 2017, on one of the nights where officer Casas was off duty and with the rest of his family and friends, there appears to be a live Facebook video where he is found inebriated and possibly stoned. ^[2]

The live video was shot inside of a car where Officer Casas sits in driver seat and another unnamed man sits in the passenger side.

The man who Casas is with seems

peppy as he takes out a bag filled with Marijuana and waves it around as if along with

the song.

At one point, the man speaks with a person outside of the car and mentions that there's a cop around, at which point an inebriated Officer Casas slurs his words when he says that he too is a cop.

The video began trending locally and ultimately ended up in the hands of Mission Police.

They have since suspended officer Casas with pay.

Mission Police Department is following civil service law in addressing this particular case, and affording the City of Mission employee due process under the law.
