Malcolm Sipling was remembered for his big heart and his fun loving nature.

He was the son of Crystal Sipling.

He was the youngest of three children with an older brother Devonta and an older sister Eboni.

Malcolm was well known for being a positive person as well as a great basketabll player.

Godby basketball coach Andy Colville said:

“He was just a super kid.

It’s not just the basketball team that was devastated, it’s the whole school.

He just had a wonderful personality, a happy-go-lucky kid.

It’s definitely the toughest day I’ve had as a coach.”

Godby Athletic Director Jackie Burkette said Malcolm transferred in from East Gadsden last year, played on junior varsity this year and showed promise.

"We moved him up to varsity because he had such great potential,” Burkette said.

“He didn’t get a lot of playing time on varsity, but he was always working hard in practice and cheering on his teammates during games.

My interactions with him were always great.

He was just a sweet kid.”
