First he co-starred in the Hal Prince musical The Petrified Prince.

Then he starred in the musical revue Bagels & Yox” and soon after, played “Val” the Russian head writer in Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor.

He went on to appear in the musical revue I’ll Take Manhattan, and made his acting debut on TV on Law and Order.

Mr. Lawrence has sustained a career spanning more than 30 years entertaining audiences in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and the Catskill Mountains.

Lawrence cites Danny Kaye and Jerry Lewis as his early inspirations, and explains his unique brand of comedy as “…truth exaggerated and extended to the very limits that you can take it.

I get great satisfaction out of making people laugh and forget all their troubles.

That laughter makes me forget mine.”
