Magda Palimariu
Magda Palimariu (born August 20, 1979) is a Romanian television presenter and model lives in Bucharest.[38]
Personal Life
Magda Palimariu was born on August 20, 1979 in Sibiu, Romania, a small town in Transylvania. From a young age Magda has believed in herself and treating others with respect, a trait she claimed came from her parents. In a 2016 interview with a Romanian entertainment magazine, Magda claimed,[16]
"I was very shy, coming from Transylvania.
I graduated from Sibiu and then from Cluj.
The world in Transylvania is a little different from the hectic world in Bucharest.
I was lucky that my parents gave me lots of tips and helped me.
Ever since I was a child, they have instilled in me the idea of trusting myself, of trusting in my powers, of behaving with dignity towards those around me, of taking care of those around me.
My mother told me that I must go through life with dignity, she told me that it is a wish that can be difficult to match with other things."
Education
Magda graduated from Pedagogical high school in her hometown of Sibiu, choosing to later move to Cluj and attend the Letter College (Facultatea de Litere). [3]
On her time at the college in Cluj, Magda recalled,[16]
"I liked Cluj very much.
In the first half of the year I got comfortable with the city, with the people.
It is a compromise, however, to go to a big city and be alone.
After I made friends, everything was perfect.
It was a very beautiful time in my life, I still have friends there and I keep in touch with them."
Her parents wanted Magda to become an educator and teach the children in her hometown.
After attending Cluj and receiving a Master's degree in journalism, Magda headed to Bucharest to start her career in television.
Career
On working with Pro TV and on the subject of women presenters, Magda says,[16]
"There are a lot of cute girls, but in the end, on television, you have to have a special charisma.
You cannot put in this role people who are not made for this.
Otherwise, I'm not interested in why people judge by appearances, I don't judge by appearances.
It's the simplest.
It is not in their minds to understand why I think that a person who appears on TV is not intelligent.
All the presenters have studied, they have done quite heavy faculties.
And especially in Pro TV, the world knows what the presenters are talking about."
"There were pictures in a bathing suit.
The parents didn't get upset.
There was no nudity.
I, anyway, agree with nudity if it doesn't lead to a vulgar side.
After all, if you are a beautiful woman why not pose?
Great Hollywood actresses or news presenters have done just that.
If the picture is decent, artistic and does not lead to vulgarity, why not appear?"
Magda has appeared on the cover of many periodicals in Romania, include Pro TV Magazine, Profil Cultural.ro, and others.[38]
