William Lucas Pell, also known as, Luke Pell, is a War Veteran during the Afghanistan War and entrepreneur who is known for being one of the contestants of in season 12 of the reality TV show The Bachelorette. Luke gained experience in the Professional Coaching industry as well as the oil industry Prior to his time in the oil industry Luke spent 5 years in the United States Army. [2] [8]
Background
Born and raised in Burnet, Texas, for most of his life he has lived in Southern United States. [8]
Education
He attended West Point where he graduated in Sociology and Systems engineering with high honor distinctions. While in college, he played for the Football team and also had time to develop his passion for Songwriting. [2] [9]
After graduating in 2007, he spent an additional 2 years at the US Army Field Artillery School Officer Leadership, in Officer Basic Course 1 & 2 training. He was later to deployed to six different residencies, one of them being Afghanistan. [2]
Career
Besides having years of military experience and earning a Bronze Star, he worked as Chesapeake Energy in the Oil industry. During this time he would write songs and record. [8]
