Lucinda Luna, who was remembered among family and friends as "Luci", was a 19 year-old teenager from Shelby County who was accidentally shot by her boyfriend. ^[1]

Born and raised in the state of Tennessee, she was also a resident of Arlington for most

of her life growing up.

She attended and graduated from Arlington High School.

Luci loved to read books which is how she would spend most of her time.

She is remembered for recommending books to her friends each time that they came over the house to visit her.

Her best friend was considered to have been Kara Stubblefield, whom she'd known since they were children growing up in the neighborhood.

On the evening of June 2nd, 2017, Lucinda and her boyfriend, Brennan Fields, were both at her house with some other friends and family.

Lucinda's father had just given Brennan his High School graduation present - a gun.

Brennan had showed it to his friends whom together took apart the gun.

When they put the part back together, they never realized they had left a live round in the chamber.

As Brennan was showing the gun to Lucinda inside of her bedroom.

She sat across from him on her couch, and suddenly the shot went off.

The shot landed in her stomach, severing vital organs.

She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounces dead.

As of yet, the police have not filed charges against Brennan.
