Nickerson was in his senior year at Highlands High School.

He was in a relationship with Clarissa Riojas, whom she broke up with recently. [1]

Death

On Wednesday April 25, 2018, Nickerson allegedly fatally shot Riojas at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Southeast Military Drive. He then ran into a nearby wooded area and shot himself after the killing. [1]
